Fun, Fun, Fun!!! This is what I get to look at on my morning drive to work. Well, there actually isn't a whole lot of looking, just squinting, and praying! You may or may not be able to tell, but there is a semi a few car lengths in front of me. At least, I think there was...

The roof has been revised, and the exterior is waiting on siding. As an unfortunate result of the delays from the roof error, the siding that would have been used to complete the house walked off the site (stolen). Someone also stole our patio door to the back yard! On the inside, the plumbing is in, and the HVAC stuff is complete. All that's left is the electrical which will probably happen any day now! Oh, we still haven't sold our house. We were supposed to close on 12/28/04, but the buyer hasn't been able to get his act together. It's a long story, but we're hoping to close this week - otherwise, it's going back on the market...

I drove by the house a few days ago and noticed the framing crew pulling sticks off the sides of the roof and side walls. Of course I was utterly confused, so I drove on to work and pulled up our house elevation on my computer - they framed the sides of the house incorrectly!! Apparently with the Christmas break, the framer's boss went out of town - when the framing crew came across the side of the house, they thought they needed a bunch of special lumber (which they didn't have). Their boss was out of town (in Mexico), so instead of simply waiting, the framers "revised" the plans to work with the lumber they had on hand. Well, needless to say, they were forced to go back and fix it!!
